PPC CLICK FRAUD

As pay per click has saturated in the search field, more and more people are trying to abuse this program to fraud competitors and get ahead. Like a bug, each day it is hogging away the profits and advertising budget. It has occupied the ads and has made them unavailable for the potential buyers. Particularly the small business entrepreneurs are the victims of the click fraud. The fraudulent accomplish this mission in a number of ways. Either they manually click on the same ad link repetitively or set up automated bots. That means, whatever the technique is used, the affected advertisers pay prime CPC rate for fraudulent traffic.
Other aspect of the same issue is that if the PPC fraud keeps on bugging the advertising programs of the search engines like this, it will ultimately to loss of advertisers and revenue. If you are also among those whose PPC campaign is getting abused by fraudsters, and your 10%, 20%--even 40% of your budget is getting depleted because of these wasted clicks, it’s the time to take measures.
  • Ensure that trustworthy PPC search engines and your investment is receiving good returns.
  • Avoid working with those publishers who partner with sites that offer incentives for clicks or searches.
  • Keep the knowledge about your site visitor. Your effort to improve your business and save the investments won’t go empty if you will keep yourself updated, if need be on hourly basis. Your knowledge about your visitor will provide you the solid proof to data to combat click fraud and provide proof to Google that you are being defrauded. In this case the search engines become obligated to pay you the refund checks for up to 30% or even more subjected to the money wasted on the fraudulent. It makes no sense to pay for the traffic that has no intention of purchasing anything from your site.
  • The search engines on their part can limit this fraud activity by cutting rate click from the traffic coming from countries where English is not the standard language.
